Meeting at Elephant Man

Apologies for all the emails today…but we have a few more thing to take care of before our first event this weekend!!
 
--First of all, we will be having a quick meeting at 5pm on Saturday, 21 September 2009, the night before the race.  This will be held at the Elephant Butte Inn, 401 Hwy. 195, Elephant Butte, NM, 87935.  This meeting will be in conjunction with the prerace meeting, the USAT Board Meeting, and the FREE prerace dinner, which will all be at the same time at this same location.  My hope is to make this convenient for you.
 
--I would like to see everyone who is participating in Elephant Man at the meeting!!
 
--We will be discussing several important topics that will directly affect our conference in the very near future.  The main topic I would like to discuss is the new qualification system that USAT will be instituting in 2011.  This means that for Nats next April, only a certain number of teams per conference will be allowed to attend Nats.  Now, we can decide those slots however we like, which is why it is important for us all to meet and be on the same page after Saturday.
 
--Chris Green has come up with a scoring system that he will talk about at the meeting.  Our hope is that we can begin using this system now, even though it will not really mean much, so that we can get all of the “glitches” worked out before we NEED to use it next year.
 
--This will also give us all a chance to meet each other in person, as email really just doesn’t cut it!!
 
--Please bring your comments, suggestions, and questions.  I will be sending out an agenda for the meeting on Thursday, so if you would like to  discuss anything, please let either myself or Chris know.  If you won’t be there but still want something discussed feel free to hit me up as well.
 
--I can’t wait to meet you all.  Again, this meeting will give us all an opportunity to meet our fellow conference members and talk about the future of our conference, as well as to enjoy some FREE FOOD!!
